Luke Shaw and Matteo Darmian who both joined Manchester United during Lois Van Gaal’s reign as United boss could be sold out by Mourinho in January in order to get the money to buy other players.
According to BBC Sports, Luke Shaw is being targeted by Tottenham, Southampton and Newcastle. The England left-back might re-join his former team when the transfer window opens in January.
According to reports from the Mirror, Sevilla and Roma are ready to battle each other for Matteo’s signature in January. United are willing to make £15 million from Darmian’s sale should Sevilla or Roma show strong interest in the player.
Mourinho Wants to improve his squad in January and according to close sources, the Portuguese manager is monitoring Mesut Ozil, David Luiz, Gareth Bale and Marcos Asensio to add depth to his squad.
Shaw has fallen out of favor with the Portuguese at the club and United chiefs are not ready to extend his contract. Darmian is being consistently left out of Manchester United’s starting lineup as a result of impressive performances from Ashley Young and recently, Victor Lindelof.
It was reported earlier by Sun Sports that Roma are willing to sign Dermian on Loan in January as a replacement for Rick Karsdorp whom they lost for the rest of the season to a cruciate ligament injury.
Darmian joined Manchester United in 2015. He has been involved in 50 matches with a single goal. He has managed only four appearances so far this season.
Luke Shaw might be heading back to his former club if Southampton are ready to pay Manchester United’s asking price for the player.
