Manchester United will get a new chance to land Ivan Perisic in the January transfer window, according to stories in the British media.
The Sun is suggesting that the Red Devils are set to revive their hopes of signing the Inter Milan attacker after having been strongly linked with a move to sign him in the summer window.
The same story suggests that the new five-year deal Perisic, 28, signed with Inter Milan last summer was to keep his price up, rather than keep him at the Italian club.
And the story suggests that Manchester United could still land Perisic if they are set to meet Inter Milan’s asking fee of around £45m.
The winger has been in fine form for Inter Milan so far this campaign and has netted seven goals and made six assists in the top league for the Italian side.
It stays to be seen whether Perisic will indeed finalise a transfer to Old Trafford in the new year.
One thing is for certain, Manchester United will be linked with a host of footballers as the January transfer window draws ever closer.
The Red Devils return to Premier League action on Wednesday evening when they take on Bournemouth at Old Trafford.
