Former Manchester United manager José Mourinho is set to be confirmed as Real Madrid manager before the end of January.
According to Sport Mole, the Portuguese manager who was sacked by the Red Devils last year is set to re-join the Santiago Bernabeu outfits.
Madrid are totally different from the team who won last season’s Champions League title, no thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo and Zinedine Zidane’s departure prior to the start of the season.
They currently occupy the fifth position in the La Liga standings, 10 points off League leaders and arch-rival Barcelona.
Santiago Solari’s men were defeated 2-0 by Real Sociedad last weekend and it is believed that another defeat could cost the manager his coaching job.
Having passed through some crises with his employers at Old Trafford over transfer issues, José Mourinho has given Madrid president Florentino Perez one condition for his services.
In the report, the former Chelsea manager wants the freedom to sign any player of his choice without any interference from the board members.
Mourinho will surely overhaul the whole squad by selling most of the tired legs in the team before signing some players whom he trust and can rely on.
Should the Los Blancos president and his cabinets agree to Mourinho’s condition, we could be seeing the Portuguese manager return to Santiago Bernabeu for the second time in his successful coaching career.
It should be recalled that the ‘special one’ — as he fondly calls himself — spent three seasons with the club as he led them to one La Liga and one Copa del Rey trophy.
