According to a British newspaper the Daily Mail, Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are keen on snapping up Manchester United talent Omari Forson in 2020.
It’s stated that the Gunners have identified Forson as a prime target, and hope to prise the youngster away from Old Trafford in the near future.
Forson is only 15, and only signed for United back in January, but he is already attracting major interest having shown promise with Manchester United.
Already playing U18 football with the Red Devils after impressing for the club’s U16’s, and is allegedly viewed as one of the top young aces in English football.
What’s interesting is that Omari was in the Tottenham Hotspur ranks, but he left the club in the January window in order to join the club’s ranks instead.
Spurs losing Omari will have hurt in the first place, but seeing him sign for North London rivals Arsenal just a year later would be even worse.
He may now have to decide whether to continue with the club, where he will be hoping for first-team chances in the immediate future, or return to North London with the Gunners.
The Red Devils reportedly beat league rivals Manchester City to his signature in January, but the London-based outfit are hoping that they might be able to entice the prized asset back to the capital in 2020.
Arsenal and Manchester United will lock horns at the Emirates Stadium in the PL on New Year’s Day.
