Ashley Young to depart from man utd next month

While the versatile Englishman is regarded as a key player in the dressing room, the 34-year-old’s current contract with the Red Devils set to expire in the summer and expected to see him leaving the club in January.

Manchester United are reportedly open to parting ways with experienced defender Ashley Young when the transfer window will be re-opened in January.

With the Red Devils unlikely to offer the veteran fresh contract, it was reported earlier this week that the full-back would depart on a free transfer at the end of the current campaign.

However, according to the Daily Mail, 34-year-old Englishman may be allowed to sign for another team at the midway point of the season in order to secure regular first-team football somewhere else.

Young has still been used on 16 occasions since the middle of August, highlighting that he stays valued by head-coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Nevertheless, should a contract suit all parties, it appears that the long-serving defender could make his exit in the upcoming month.

Meanwhile, Manchester United another star Angel Gomes expected to leave the club in January with La Liga giants Barcelona are keen on to lure him at Nou Camp this winter with 19-year-old also has left less than six months on his current contract at the Red Devils.
