Manchester United are reportedly keeping close tabs on Valencia full-back Jose Gaya as they consider moving for the 24-year-old defender during the January transfer window.
Gaya, who came through Valencia’s academy, has been a vital part of the side for the last five campaigns, and has impressed at the start of the 2019/20 season.
The 20-times English champions have often struggled in the left-back position, with Ashley Young ageing and Luke Shaw has failed to impress this term.

According to Spanish outlet Deporte Valenciano the Red Devils are keeping close tabs on Jose Gaya and are also keeping tabs on the midfielder Carlos Soler and forward Ferran Torres.
Both Soler and Torres helped Spanish giants to claim the Copa del Rey last campaign and were a vital part of the Spain U-21 team that claim the European Championship this summer.
It remains to be seen how much Valencia would demand for the three players, however, with all of them young, exciting prospects, it is likely the Red Devils would have to fork out a lot to persuade the La Liga outfits to sell.
Norwegian manager has previously suggested securing the services of the players in January will be difficult due to the reluctance of teams to sell their main assets halfway through a campaign.
