Man Utd boss drops massive hint over possible signings in January

Man Utd head-coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that they could secure the services of two new players when the transfer window will be re-opened in January.

The 20-times English champions have made a disappointing start to the Premier League campaign following a return of just three wins in 11 appearences.

The Red Devils are in tenth place in the English top-tier and 10 points adrift of fourth-placed Chelsea as they struggle to get the victory.

In fact, the 20-times English champions are closer to the relegation zone than the top four, which has heaped pressure on the Norwegian manager.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side been left with limited options up front after the 20-time English champions sold Romelu Lukaku to Inter Milan.

Alexis Sanchez followed his former teammate at San Siro side to depart from Manchester United with Anthony Martial, Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford as their only options in the third line of the pitch.

Speaking at a news conference on Wednesday about potential signings in the January transfer window, Solskjaer said:

“The priority now is to get players fit and get through to the next round.

“Transfers – we always look at the league table, look at players. There might be none, there might be one, might be two in January, but the summer window is the big one and you can’t do many good deals in January.”

The Red Devils have managed to beat Chelsea, Leicester City and Norwich City ahead of their home game against Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday.

Man Utd haven’t won the Premier League title since 2013, when Ferguson was still in charge at Old Trafford.

Manchester United signed Daniel James from Swansea City, Harry Maguire from Leicester City and Crystal Palace full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
