Red Devils have reportedly been handed a transfer boost in their rumoured pursuit of Napoli centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly. The 28-year-old defender has long been linked with Man United, and recently he was still among their top targets amid the summer signing of Harry Maguire in the back-line.
It now seems Italian giants are set to discuss letting Kalidou leave for the right price as the defender is said to want out of the club. Koulibaly would be more than happy to move on, and it makes sense that the Senegal international might fancy a step up to a bigger team.

Real Madrid are also interested in signing him and ready to compete with the Red Devils for the centre-back. The Senegalese defender seemingly now available for £114m. That’s a huge amount to pay, but Man United should be able to afford it given their recent record in the transfer market, and it could be a worthwhile investment.
Kalidou would be a huge upgrade on the likes of Victor Lindelof and Eric Bailly, and arguably on Maguire too after his slightly unconvincing start at Theatre of Dreams. Man United started this season terribly as they are in a 12th place in the Premier League table.
English club signed several footballers during the summer transfer window like Harry Maguire from Leicester City, Daniel James from Swansea and Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace. Red Devils heavily linked with Sporting midfielder Bruno Fernandes, Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho and Juventus attacker Paulo Dybala.
