Juventus experienced forward Mario Mandzukic could reportedly join Manchester United when the winter transfer window will be re-opened in January.
The Croatia international was rumoured with a move to Old Trafford as a replacement for Belgian forward Romelu Lukaku, who left the 20-times English champions to complete a move to Serie A giants Inter Milan earlier this month.
Alexis Sanchez, meanwhile, has also joined the Italian giants on a season-long loan deal which would further deplete the Red Devils options in the final third of the field.
Anthony Martial is believed to be an injury doubt for the Red Devils trip to Southampton in the league this weekend, leaving 17-year-old Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford as Ole Gunnar Solskjaers only options upfront.
According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Croatia international forward, Madzukic has rejected the opportunity to join Ligue 1 champions, Paris Saint-Germain in the latter stages of the European transfer window.
Di Marzio reports that the 33-year-old forward is in no rush to make a decision about his future, and could complete a switch to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side during the winter transfer window.
The Croatian has managed to found back of the net 44 times in 162 games for the Serie A champions since a 2015 switch from La Liga giants, Atletico Madrid.
