Man United are close to signing €55m-rated UEFA Nations League winner

Red Devils are on the verge of signing Sporting Lisbon playmaker Bruno Fernandes, after holding successful talks with his agent. Portugal international has been on the Man United radar since for months, after a stellar 2018-29 season with Sporting which saw him emerge as one of Europe’s finest young footballers.

Bruno contributed a staggering 32 goals and 18 assists across all tournaments for the Lions last campaign, earning Red Devils interest along with a whole host of other top clubs. Fernandes is now ready to sign a six-year contract at the Old Trafford as a final transfer deal nears completion.

The 24-year-old midfielder joined the Portuguese club from Sampdoria in 2017 with a €10m deal. He is one of the best playmakers in Liga NOS and a captain of the club. Portuguese player is a regular member of the national team line-up and also helped them to win the UEFA Nations League which is already a big success for the footballer.

Man United had terrible consequences last season as they finished the Premier League in a sixth position and knocked out from the Champions League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup. English club signed Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace, Daniel James from Swansea and Harry Maguire from Leicester City this summer transfer window.

Red Devils strongly linked with Lyon striker Moussa Dembele, Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho, Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale, Tottenham playmaker Christian Eriksen, Juventus superstar Paulo Dybala, Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Napoli centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly and Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana.
