Ole Gunnar Solskjaer tacitly reveals update on Harry Maguire Man United move

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed Man United will not pay overboard to sign any of their targets this summer and the Evening Standard have claimed he’s addressing Harry Maguire’s situation.

Despite signing two players, Solskjaer revealed Man United are not coming coming off the window yet until they  sign two other players and Harry Maguire has been continuously linked among other targets.

Bruno Fernandes, Sean Longstaff have been closely monitored by the Red Devils, as Solskjaer looks to address the dearth of quality and option in his midfield and defence.

United made a £70million offer for the England international but the same was thrown out by the Foxes, who are understood to be holding out for £85m-£90m to let him leave.

It appears United will not be returning with an improved bid for the player following the claim of Solskjaer.

“We’re still in the market looking to do some business, but we’re patient.

“We’re Manchester United. We don’t have to sell and don’t have to overpay.

“You have to have the right players at the right price.” Solskjaer said.

Eplvar covered a report earlier today that Leicester City have identified Burnley’s James Tarkowski as a possible replacement for Maguire, meaning they could accede to the offer of Man United.

The report further claims United are displeased with the stance of Leicester City on the player’s transfer, which led Manchester City to pull the plug on his chase.

Virgil Van Dijk is currently the most expensive defender in the world but if Maguire is signed for £90m, his deal would eclipse the -£75million paid for the aforementioned Dutch player.
