Man United certain £71m midfielder deal will be done in matter of days

Manchester United are supposedly trusting that an agreement for Sporting CP attacking midfielder Bruno Fernandes could be done ‘in a matter of days’.

Significant changes are required to be made by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this summer after United persevered through a woeful end to the season as they won only two of their last two games.

With the departure of Ander Herrera on a free transfer and the uncertainty of Paul Pogba’s future, midfield would is the main area Ole Gunnar Solskjaer need to work on.

The Red Devils have been connected with moves for various names, including the likes of PSG’s Adrien Rabiot, Declan Rice of West Ham and Lyon star Tanguy Ndombele.

Nonetheless, no doubt Fernandes looks destined to make a beeline for Old Trafford, particularly if the most recent reports are to be accepted.

Portuguese paper A Bola, by means of SportWitness, claims that United are ‘ahead’ in the race to sign the 24-year-old and that the club are intending to make a ‘solid proposition’ for him.

It’s also expressed that an agreement could be ‘secured soon, in a matter of days,’.

Napoli full-back Elseid Hysaj, then, wants to leave the club this summer looking for another test, in the midst of connections with a move to United.
